Why it matters

Set up on defaults, most owners overpay. Set up on a friend's advice, they overcorrect.

Nearly every owner who comes to us is living with one of these two setups. The fix is the same: make the structure a decision instead of an accident.

Running on defaults
You never elected anything, so the IRS's default classification decides your return, your deadline, and the self-employment tax on every dollar of profit. It quietly costs more each year the business grows.
Set up on purpose
Entity matched to what the business actually earns, the owner's pay set at a defensible level, and a payment schedule that makes April just another month.
Elected too early
You took the S-corp election because someone said to. Now there's payroll to run, extra returns to file, and compliance costs that can outweigh what the election saves at your profit level.

Working out the right setup for your numbers is the actual job, and it's what we do — before the deadline, while the choices are still open.

One office for the structure, the filings, and the plan

What we do
01
Entity & elections
Whether to stay on the default, elect S-corp, or unwind an election that isn't earning its keep — decided from your numbers, not a rule of thumb.
02
Owner pay
A salary-and-distribution split that holds up if anyone ever asks — set once, revisited as profit moves.
03
Quarterly estimates
A payment schedule sized to the year you're actually having, so nothing piles up for April.
04
Bookkeeping
Books kept current and tied to the return, whether you arrive with clean records or a folder of receipts.
05
Payroll & contractors
W-2s, 1099s, and the worker-classification calls — handled so both sides are done correctly.
06
The returns themselves
Schedule C, Form 1065 and K-1s, or Form 1120-S — prepared and filed by the same office that set the structure.
What a consult delivers

Four things you leave the free review with

Concrete answers about your own business — useful whether or not you ever work with us again.

01
A written call on your entity
Stay where you are, elect, or unwind — with the reasoning, so you can act on it or sit on it with confidence.
02
Your pay, as a number
What the owner should take as salary versus distributions at your profit level, and why that split holds up.
03
A payment calendar
Which returns your business owes, when each is due, and what to set aside so the deadlines arrive pre-funded.
04
An honest verdict
If your setup is already right and you're better off doing it yourself, we'll say exactly that. The review is free either way.
How it works

Three steps from “someone said to form an LLC” to a setup you understand

1

We talk

A short conversation about how the business actually runs — who owns it, what it earns, who gets paid, where the records live. Nothing to prepare.

2

We set the structure

Entity, elections, owner pay, and the estimate schedule, mapped to your numbers in writing. We never sell entities, and we never tell you to spend money just for a deduction.

3

You run the business; we keep the file

You work. We keep the books current, prepare and file every return the structure calls for, and answer when you call.

How the fee works

A flat fee, quoted up front.

The review itself costs nothing. If you hire us after it, the quote depends on the shape of the business — not a package:

01How you're set up — sole proprietor, single-member LLC, partnership, or an S-corp with payroll.
02The state of the books — clean records cost less to maintain than a year of receipts to reconstruct.
03Whether you have subs or employees — payroll and 1099 filings add moving parts.
04How much catching up is involved — one current year is a different job from several unfiled ones.
After the free review, we quote you a flat number — before any work starts. No surprises.

Questions we get before we start

What does the review cost?
Nothing. We go through your setup, give you the entity and pay calls, and quote a flat number if ongoing help makes sense. No obligation either way.
Do you work with businesses outside California?
Yes — the work is remote, nationwide. Phone, video, and secure document upload; you never need to visit an office.
What should I have ready for the first conversation?
Nothing formal. Last year's return helps if you can find it, plus a rough sense of what the business earns and who gets paid. Sorting the rest is part of the job.
Do you just advise, or do you actually file?
We prepare and file — Schedule C, Form 1065 and K-1s, or Form 1120-S, plus the payroll and 1099 filings that go with them. You're not left alone with a list of suggestions.
Can you take over the bookkeeping too?
Yes. Most planning clients have us keep the books current, because the return is only as good as the records behind it.
I'm behind on filings. Is that a problem?
It's common, and it's fixable. Catch-up years change the quote, not whether we'll take the work — and penalty relief is often available for a clean history.
When in the year should we do this?
Before the deadline you're worried about — and ideally before year-end, while elections and payments can still be changed. But the review is useful whenever you call.

Get the setup settled before the next deadline runs.

Bring us the business as it actually is — defaults, elections, receipts and all. We'll tell you what to keep, what to change, and what it costs to have us handle it.
