Why it matters

How serious is falling behind on your taxes?

For most people this is a money problem: a bill that keeps growing and letters that get more serious. What it ends up costing depends on whether you do too little or too much.

Waiting it out
Unopened letters don’t pause anything. If the IRS fills in a missing year itself, its bill is usually bigger than your own return would show, and it keeps growing while collection moves on the IRS’s schedule, not yours.
The right move
File the years you missed with your own numbers, then set up a payment you can keep up with.
Panic moves
Paying the IRS’s version of the bill as it stands, or emptying savings or a retirement account to make it stop, usually costs more than the fix. So does paying a firm that promises a settlement before anyone has looked at your records.

Your IRS transcripts show which of these fits your case, so we pull them before anyone guesses. Then we tell you how big the job is.

What we handle

What our team does for you

1
Pull your IRS transcripts
We see exactly what the IRS sees: which years are open, what income it already knows about, and what it has done so far.
2
File the missing years
We prepare and file the returns you missed, federal and state, in the order your case needs.
3
Rebuild missing records
When forms or receipts are gone, we rebuild the year from what the IRS already has and the records you can still get, so the return stands on your numbers.
4
Answer the IRS for you
We read every notice, answer it on time, and handle the back-and-forth with the IRS while the case is open.
5
Set up payment that holds
We set up a payment plan sized to what you can keep paying, and we ask for penalty relief where it fits your history.
6
Respond to collection
If a levy or wage garnishment is in play, we respond to it and work to pause collection. Afterward we keep you current so it does not happen again.

The first review

What you leave the review with

The free first review ends with the job sized and written down, so you decide with the facts in front of you.

01
The real picture in writing
Which years are missing, what the IRS already has on file, and whether it has built any returns of its own for you.
02
The filing order
Which returns get filed in what order, and what each step needs from you — records, signatures, nothing more.
03
The payment path
Which payment arrangement fits your budget, which ones don’t and why, and whether a penalty-relief request is worth making in your case.
04
The honest verdict
Sometimes the fix is smaller than people fear — a few returns and a payment plan you could set up yourself. When that is your situation, we say so.
How it works

How the engagement works

1

You tell us what you have

Send what you have, organized or not, and sign the IRS authorization so we can see your file from the IRS side.

2

You approve the plan

We walk you through the written plan on a call, line by line. Nothing starts until you approve it.

3

We file and deal with the IRS

We prepare the returns, answer the IRS and set up the payment. We never take or hold your money — payments go from your account to the IRS.

How the fee works

A flat fee, quoted up front.

The first review costs nothing. After it, the work is one flat fee set by the scope of your case, quoted in writing before any work starts.

01How many years are missing. One unfiled year is a smaller job than several, and the quote reflects that.
02What the IRS has already done. Returns it built for you or notices that need answers add work to the engagement.
03How much of your records we have to rebuild. Self-employment income and missing forms take more reconstruction than a year of wages.
04What comes after filing. A payment-plan or penalty-relief request, or a levy response, is scoped into the quote up front.
✓After the free review, we quote you a flat number — before any work starts. No surprises.

Questions before you hire us

What does it cost to get caught up?
Nothing for the first review, then one flat fee for your job, in writing before we start. The number is set by the scope of the work and does not change midstream.
Can you help if I live in another state?
We work with clients anywhere in the country, entirely remotely. Documents move electronically, calls happen by phone or video, and the IRS work is the same wherever you live.
What do I need to send you?
Whatever you have is enough to start — the letters, the last return you filed, a list of the years you missed. We pull your transcripts ourselves, so nothing needs to be organized first.
Can you deal with the IRS for me?
Once you sign an IRS authorization naming our office, the IRS deals with us directly and we answer its notices and calls from then on. That is the core of our IRS representation service.
Do you prepare the back returns, or just advise?
We prepare and file every missed return ourselves, state returns included, rather than telling you how to do it. You review and sign each one before it goes in.
Should I wait until I can pay before starting?
You don’t need the money to start: we file first and set up the payment as part of the same engagement. Starting before the next notice keeps more options open than waiting does.
What if I’m worried about criminal charges?
For almost everyone behind on filing, the case is civil — letters, a bill, collection — and that is the work we do. If IRS Criminal Investigation has already contacted you, speak with a criminal tax attorney before talking to anyone, us included.
Can you settle my debt for less?
Only if your finances qualify, and we won’t say whether they do until we’ve seen your transcripts and your current income and expenses. Once we have them, we tell you which options you realistically qualify for and which you do not.
